§ 01

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Multi-Faucet collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it. It applies to multi-faucet.com and any related services we operate.

Short version: we collect what we need to run the Service — an account, a way to reply to you, basic usage data — and not much more.
§ 02

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • account details — username, email, password (hashed), and an avatar if you upload one;
  • content you post — reviews, ratings, scam reports, faucet submissions and any attachments;
  • messages you send us through the contact form or by email.

Information collected automatically

  • technical data — IP address, browser type, device and operating system;
  • usage data — pages viewed, search queries inside the directory, outbound clicks to listed faucets;
  • cookies and similar technologies (see the section below).

Information from third parties

  • if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and avatar URL from Google;
  • we never receive your Google password.
§ 03

How we use the information

We use personal information to:

  • create and maintain your account;
  • publish the content you choose to share with the community;
  • send transactional emails — verification, password reset, important notices about your account;
  • understand how the directory is used so we can improve it;
  • detect spam, abuse and security incidents;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent your email address to third-party marketers.

§ 05

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential — keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, protecting forms;
  • Analytics — anonymised stats about how the directory is used;
  • Advertising — if and when display ads are shown on supported pages, the ad network may set its own cookies.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner where available. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the Service.

§ 06

When we share information

We share personal information only when needed, and only with:

  • service providers — hosting, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring — bound by confidentiality and data-protection agreements;
  • authentication providers — Google, if you choose to sign in with Google;
  • law enforcement — when we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety or property;
  • successors — if Multi-Faucet is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale, your data may transfer to the new owner, with this Policy still applying.
§ 07

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected, or as required by law.

  • account data — kept while your account is active and for a short period after deletion to handle disputes or legal claims;
  • published content — may remain on the public record after account deletion, in a de-identified form;
  • logs and analytics — typically retained for a limited period and then aggregated or deleted.
§ 08

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • delete your account and associated data;
  • export your data in a portable format;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Most of these rights can be exercised directly from your account settings. For anything else, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

§ 09

Security

We use industry-standard security measures — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls, regular backups — to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to choose a strong, unique password and to keep your email account safe.

§ 10

Children’s privacy

Multi-Faucet is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can remove it.

§ 11

International transfers

Information you provide may be processed in countries other than your own. When personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect it.

§ 12

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of the page, and we may notify registered users by email or in-app notice.
